Pain, Heart Ache, Tears…and More!

Published 10/10/2016 by inspiringyourspirit

My Dear Friends,

It has been many, many, long weeks since I have been able to place my fingers on this keyboard, to even attempt to write my blog…Words have left me, my heart has been broken and I have been struggling to get through my days and my nights.

The love of my life, my beautiful wife has decided to leave me ūüė¶ There is no one else involved and we are still the best of friends, she has her own spiritual journey and her own pathway to follow, and her own needs to consider, and although this decision has truly broken my heart, I also respect her and I honour her decision.

Tears, endless buckets of tears have left my eyes, washed down my face and helped wash away my pain, my heart has missed so many beats, the slightest thought, song, tv program or word seems to set me off again, my beautiful dogs have given me endless cuddles, laid by my side while I have been crying and comforted me on endless occasions over these past few weeks, helping me move on with my life.

My own spirituality, my connection to my higher self, my pathway has been called into my thoughts each and every day, I quizzed myself endlessly, asking myself why!…and Where am I going with my life!

I read your comments, see and feel the love that you share, and I’m truly honoured by your sentiment and words of love, compassion, and support.

Where do I go from here?….Honestly, I don’t yet know!

Each day is a new day, a move towards the future, and whatever that holds for me.

One piece of positive news is after many years of procrastination, I actually went to Bhutan, hiked up some of the highest mountains, visited many amazing Buddhist Monasteries and Temples, met with Lamas and Rinpoche’s, meditated in the sacred sites and touched my heart with the Buddha in one of the most amazing experiences of my life….Future post…Maybe!…Watch this space.

Peace, One Simple Word!

Published 26/04/2016 by inspiringyourspirit

Peace, what does this commonly used word mean to you?

  • The¬†normal,¬†nonwarring¬†condition¬†of¬†a¬†nation,¬†group¬†of¬†nations,¬†or¬†the world.
  • An agreement¬†or¬†treaty¬†between¬†warring¬†or antagonistic¬†nations,¬†groups,¬†etc.,¬†to¬†end¬†hostilities¬†and¬†abstain¬†from further¬†fighting¬†or¬†antagonism:
  • A¬†state¬†of¬†mutual¬†harmony¬†between¬†people¬†or¬†groups,¬†especially¬†in personal¬†relations: Try¬†to¬†live¬†in¬†peace¬†with¬†your¬†neighbors.
  • The¬†normal¬†freedom¬†from¬†civil¬†commotion¬†and¬†violence¬†of¬†a community;¬†public¬†order¬†and¬†security:¬†He¬†was¬†arrested¬†for¬†being¬†drunk¬†and¬†disturbing¬†the¬†peace.
  • Cessation¬†of¬†or¬†freedom¬†from¬†any¬†strife¬†or¬†dissension.
  • Freedom¬†of¬†the¬†mind¬†from¬†annoyance,¬†distraction,¬†anxiety,¬†an obsession,¬†etc.;¬†tranquillity;¬†serenity.
  • A¬†state¬†of¬†tranquillity¬†or¬†serenity:¬†May¬†he¬†rest¬†in¬†peace.

¬†The term ‘peace’ originates most recently from the Anglo-French¬†pes,¬†and the Old French¬†pais, meaning “peace, reconciliation, silence, agreement” (11th century). But,¬†Pes¬†itself comes from the Latin¬†pax, meaning “peace, compact, agreement, treaty of peace, tranquility, absence of hostility, harmony.” The English word came into use in various personal greetings from c.1300 as a translation of the Hebrew word Shalom, which, according to Jewish theology, comes from a Hebrew verb meaning ‘to restore’. Although ‘peace’ is the usual translation, however, it is an incomplete one, because ‘shalom,’ which is also cognate with the Arabic Salaam, has multiple other meanings in addition to peace, including justice, good health, safety, well-being, prosperity, equity, security, good fortune, and friendliness. At a personal level, peaceful behaviors are kind, considerate, respectful, just, and tolerant of others’ beliefs and behaviors ‚ÄĒ tending to manifest goodwill. This latter understanding of peace can also pertain to an individual’s introspective sense or concept of her/himself, as in being “at peace” in one’s own mind, as found in European references from c.1200. The early English term is also used in the sense of “quiet”, reflecting calm, serene, and meditative approaches to family or group relationships that avoid quarreling and seek tranquility¬†‚ÄĒ an absence of disturbance or agitation.

In many languages, the word for peace is also used as a greeting or a farewell, for example the Hawaiian word Aloha, as well as the Arabic word salaam. In English the word peace is occasionally used as a farewell, especially for the dead, as in the phrase rest in peace.

‚ÄúWorld peace must develop from inner peace. Peace is not just mere absence of violence. Peace is, I think, the manifestation of human compassion.‚ÄĚ ¬†Dalai Lama XIV

“For a day, just for one day, Talk about that which disturbs no one
And bring some peace into your Beautiful eyes.‚ÄĚ ¬†Sweet Poems of Hafiz

‚ÄúPeace begins with a smile..‚Ä̬†Mother Theresa

‚ÄúYou cannot find peace by avoiding life.‚Ä̬†Virginia Wolf

‚ÄúIf everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there’d be peace.‚Ä̬†John Lennon

‚ÄúPeace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.‚Ä̬†Albert Einstein

‚ÄúIf someone thinks that peace and love are just a cliche that must have been left behind in the 60s, that’s a problem. Peace and love are eternal.‚Ä̬†John Lennon

‚ÄúThe day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.‚Ä̬†Mahatma Gandhi

‚ÄúPeace comes from within.¬† Do not seek it without.‚Ä̬†Gautama Buddha

‚ÄúYou have peace,” the old woman said, “when you make it with yourself.‚Ä̬†The Five People you Meet in Heaven

‚ÄúThe Simple Path ,Silence is Prayer, Prayer is Faith, Faith is Love, Love is Service,The Fruit of Service is Peace‚ÄĚ ¬†Mother Theresa

‚ÄúUntil he extends the circle of his compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace.‚Ä̬†Albert Schweitzer

‚ÄúIt is not enough to win a war; it is more important to organize the peace.‚Ä̬†Aristotle

‚ÄúAs long as Man continues to be the ruthless destroyer of lower living beings, he will never know health or peace. For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love.‚Ä̬†Pythagoras

‚ÄúYou find peace not by rearranging the circumstances of your life, but by realizing who you are at the deepest level.‚Ä̬†Eckhart Tolle

‚ÄúIf you love me as you say you do,’ she whispered, ‘make it so that I am at peace.‚Ä̬†Leo Tolstoy -Anna Karenina

‚ÄúPeace is the only battle worth waging.‚Ä̬†Albert Camus

‚ÄúHow come we play war and not peace?” “Too few role models.‚Ä̬†Bill Watterson

‚ÄúInstead of hating the people you think are war-makers, hate the appetites and disorder in your own soul, which are the causes of war. If you love peace, then hate injustice, hate tyranny, hate greed – but hate these things in yourself, not in another.‚Ä̬†Thomas Merton

‚ÄúThe first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that its center is really everywhere, it is within each of us.‚Ä̬†Black Elk

‚ÄúBetter than a thousand hollow words is one word that brings peace.‚Ä̬†Gautama Buddha

‚ÄúPeace is the number one beautiful ornament you can wear, I really believe that. They say you should always wear a smile, but I don’t believe that you should “always” wear a smile, seriously, you’re going to look stupid! But peace, you should always carry peace within you, its the most beautifying thing you could ever have or do. Peace makes your heart beautiful and it makes you look beautiful, too. You want to have perfect physical posture when you stand, sit, and walk, and peace is the perfect posture of the soul, really. Try perfect posture outside as well as inside. Peace creates grace and grace gives peace.‚Ä̬†C.JoyBell C

My Dear Friends,A few samples of what ‚ÄėPeace‚Äô means to some individuals. For me, Peace is within, we strive to find it everywhere we go, we wish for it to be there as a reality for everyone, but ‚ÄėPeace‚Äô is within everyone of us and unless we can find that inner peace then we cannot wish for there to be ‚ÄėPeace on Earth‚Äô simply because to have World Peace, WE ALL NEED TO FIND IT, IN OURSELVES!

I wonder how often the word ‚ÄėPeace‚Äô is spoken each day? Peace to you, Peace and Love, May your life be filled with Peace, May they Rest in Peace, Peace Be With You, What a Peaceful Day, etc

All I know is, I can find Peace within; and that allows me to try and promote this well kept secret to others, I know Peace can be found in meditation, I know Peace is available for everyone, all you have to do is ‚ÄėWant It and search inside, because your Soul is waiting to share with your physical body‚Ķ.

……Go on my friends and as John Lennon once said…

Give Peace A Chance J

Love Is

Published 05/12/2014 by inspiringyourspirit

Before the birth of the physical
There was the birth of potential.
Before potential, something primal.
A Beingness. One Life, silent,
unmoving, unchanging,
The unspoken beauty of Truth,
Mother only to itself.

It has been called God, Tao,
Divine Mother,
Universal Mind.
Today it feels good to call it Love.
Or perhaps Spirit of Love,
Since Spirit implies an all-pervading
As common as one’s breath.

Love is not an emotion, or a feeling.
It is the formless and substance
The seen and the unseen;
It is the seed and womb of the
Call it what you will, it resides
Just beyond the limits of our
abilities to describe.

It has been said “God is Love.”
Thus, the heavens seek Love
Earth seeks Love
People seek Love.
This is what makes us great.

People abide on the Earth
Earth abides in the Heavens
The Heavens abide in Love.
Love abides in all.
This is what makes us One.

Make Love a part of your life, Love IS all around, Love is in every person and in everything.

My mind is lost, it’s spinning and it seems to be out of control, and, no matter what I do to control it, it just keeps spinning!

I seem to have lost my clarity of vision, my intuition is clouded and my spiritual pathway has come across a roadblock, just like a great tree has fallen in my way.

I usually see life with such clarity, if an issue, a challenge or a problem arises I normally sit back, meditate and my clarity of vision takes control and within a short space of time I come up with the right way forward, however, right now I‚Äôm finding it difficult to be in the ‚ÄėNow‚Äô to see things for what they are‚Ķand I just don‚Äôt know why!

Maybe you, my blogging friends can come up with some reasoning behind what is happening to me right now! Why am I feeling this way? ‚ÄėLost‚Äô is probably the best word to state how I‚Äôm feeling right now.
