I came across this image this morning and thought…Wow!…
Isn’t that the truth?…Is poverty, famine, greed, war, disease, injustice in our world only God’s problem?
Should we wait for him/her to deal with it for us, or, should we stand up and be counted?…..Actually get up off our butt’s and do something about the problems in our world!
We are after all, guardians of this planet, guardians for our future, for the future of our children. We all have an obligation to take ownership of what goes on in our world, we are all part of humanity, we are all part of the problem and the possible solution….We are stronger than we think, we can do something about these problems and issues, we can make change, we can stop greed, we can stop injustice, we can stop starvation, we can ALL make a difference and change the future….
We are but a grain of sand amongst billions of other grains of sand, but we are all ‘One’, we all come from the same seed of creation and we owe it to ourselves, to our brothers and sisters of humanity, we owe it to our ancestors, we owe it to our children, we owe it to our grandchildren, we owe it to OURSELVES!
Today is the day for you to sit up, look in the mirror and say “I am part of the problem and, I am part of the solution’ and ‘I can make a difference to this world, our world’..
Go on my friends, do a pledge to yourself, stand up and be counted and be a part of the change you want to see in this ‘Our’ world 🙂 Then go out and actually do something! Join a peace group, help out in a homeless shelter, sign a petition, stop using a product or buying food, drink or fuel from the companies that are polluting our planet, poisoning our children, draining our natural water systems, taking advantage of low wages and not paying their taxes. Stand up for yourself, for your family, for your future 🙂

The purpose of this post today my dear friends was for us to draw our attention through music and the wonderful skills of the late B.B. King to the subject of ‘Worry’, Worry catches us all at one point or more in our lives, and some people worry all the time! Worry about not being worthy, worry about not being loved, worry about loving someone, worry about their relationship, worry about life, worry about our children, worry about our jobs, worry about making ends meet each month, worry about work, worry that we are just not good enough, worry about our safety, worry, worry, worry!
Where does worrying get us in the end?……..Absolutely nowhere!……..I don’t think anyone can give you a perfect answer where worrying brought you anything but more worry and more pain, it certainly did not bring an end to your worrying so……! What’s the point in worrying?….Focus on whats good, whats great in your life, focus on the loving people you have in your life, focus on the beauty you see when you look in the mirror, look into your heart, connect with your inner child, connect with the love that you really are, be the light once again that makes you happy, be the joy that brings joy to your life and to the lives of others, be the strength that resolves problems and not the victim of those problems……
STOP WORRYING…..

Having been a nurse for 11 years, I have encountered and experienced tales of joy, inspiration, resilience, frustration, and the darkest despair. Nursing is a fascinating career in its variety of roles and depth of human understanding, and it’s an immense honour to come alongside a patient and make their life, or perhaps just that day, more manageable. This must be remembered when frustrations arise from all corners, sometimes becoming overbearing.
 Patients themselves, through no fault of their own, can test the patience, kindness and compassion of the best-intentioned nurse. In my current workplace, I can think of Martha, the desperately underweight, sad lady who refuses the best efforts to help her eat, or Phyllis, the lady with severe constipation who refuses all intervention, or Reginald, the stroke patient who refuses to believe he can ever get out of bed and so has remained bed-bound for 5 years despite the encouragement of the entire caring team. Then there is John, who shouts for help all day even when staff are at his bedside offering to help in any way. Every day, we think that we will be the ones to really make a difference, and yet we fail again.
 As nurses, we can continue to care for patients like these and treasure every moment where we can help, but it’s hard when everything else seems like it’s against us. For example, the 8-hour shift that becomes a 15-hour shift because there is no nurse to cover the late shift as a result of short staffing. Or the plan to carry out a complex leg dressing or set of blood tests, only to find that there is no equipment. The last straw might be when we feel attack from all corners when we are just trying to do our best.
 During one particularly trying shift, I was approached by a sour-faced inspector demanding answers to questions that seemed to focus on paperwork and not patients, a GP who seemed harassed at being called out to visit a patient with a minor, yet valid, ailment, and a relative with a long list of complaints that should have been discussed with the (absent) management rather than the busy nurse. Meanwhile, the daily newspaper heralded another story about abuse at the hands of nurses.
 As this was unfolding, a dear patient was dying and had no family. I took the decision that my most important role was to be with her as she breathed her last breath. I read to her some precious words that I know she had chosen and held her hand as she slipped away. Acting on decisions like this, where I know that patient care has really come first, helps to keep me in the profession.

Nurses and Nursing, a service provided to us all over the world by people with big hearts often working for very low pay, under extreme pressure and working extremely long hours. It’s about time we honoured this profession properly all around the world not just with a international nurses day but through the giving of respect for what they do for humanity, their love, compassion and continual caring attitude is what keeps us alive and they should be honoured accordingly!

Please take a few moments to watch this short video and think about what you see, it literally broke my heart to see literally hundreds if not thousands of people in New York walking past this young boy in the freezing cold of day with no one stopping to see how he was, let alone offering him any help. Until the one homeless man walked up and offered not only help in the form of his own coat, but also the little money he had whilsy he also offered his advice and comforting support for what he saw in this young boy!
I love the words of this homeless man…“Im homeless too and We got to look out for one another”
Remember my dear friends “If you wait until you can do everything for everybody, instead of something for somebody, you’ll end up doing nothing for nobody”!
Let’s together make changes to our world, let’s bring humanity back together where we actually care for one another, where we don’t chase money and things, where we don’t turn our backs on the needy, where we start loving one another and we listen to each other with the intent to understand…
We can make a difference, we can make change happen…but we have to stand up and say…… “I will”
How can we live a complete life, an ideal life that is full of happiness joy and fulfillment? The key to this success lies in making the best use of the limited time we have. We only have decades to live, and if we then subtract all the time we spend sleeping and eating, what’s then left isn’t much.
The sacred and spiritual task is the reason we came into this world. These specific tasks are different for each person, but most of them involve being of service to something greater than oneself. People who manage to actively work on their own sacred tasks are filled with happiness and joy, because they understand the mission, and they know what to do.
Their reward is a profound sense of satisfaction.
When they look back at their experiences, the people they have helped, the friendships they have made, they cannot help but smile. They have done a hundred out of a hundred things they wanted to accomplish. Theirs is the complete life, a life of meaning.
The sacred task is your primary purpose in life. I wonder if you have already identified it? If not, look for something that leverages your talents and abilities to serve a greater purpose. It will be a calling, something you are called upon to do. Discovering what it is will be your first step to start living the complete life of your own.
You may have already seen this short video, I had not but; I thought it was well worth sharing again because of the reminder of this simple but profound message within the short story. The video certainly brought tears to my eyes and I’m happy that I came across it to remind me of the importance of doing good each and every day. This simple act of kindness like so many others that we can do will help others in their time of need and bring about the receipt of goodness in response to our acts of kindness.

As a follow on to my last post I saw this image and thought it was a very fitting follow on. Reach Out, we all need to do it sometimes!
In some countries and cultures, reaching out is very normal and the done thing, to reach out to support groups, councillors, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, religious groups etc but in some cultures and countries it is seen as a sign of weakness and a loss of face to admit to others that you are experiencing a problem.
Look at the words on the arms of the two people in the image and consider reaching out to a friend, a loved one, a family member or a support group if you need help or if you have have time and skills to offer support to others yourself then please consider doing so 🙂
This is such a true statement ‘ As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others’
I just wish more people would use both hands in this way, however the majority use both hands for themselves 😦
A helping hand can bring so much joy to the giver and the receiver, a helping hand offered to someone in need can make the world of difference to their life/s.
We can make a difference to people less fortunate than ourselves, all we need to do is open our hearts and offer one hand in support to someone who needs our help.
My Heart is filled with joy today, my future is clear and my spiritual pathway is once again open, and that its due to you my friends, to our Sangha, our support network, it is due to you that I am feeling how I do today, sunshine is in my heart, sunshine is in my smile and as soon as I go out i’m sure sunshine will be in my step as I walk the streets of Shanghai:)
Yesterday was a dark day, I was down and I reached out to you and you came, you extended your kindness, your love, your blessings and you words of comfort, each word brought a tear to my eyes and as I read them the tears flowed freely, each tear took away my pain, it flushed the darkness from my heart and brought the sunshine back to my smile…So thank you my friends, together we can heal our world, we can make a difference to the lives of others, we are gaining strength as a Sangha.
I’m off to a CSR event today, to speak with like minded souls, to connect to people and organisations in need of help and to find ways to do good once more, to give back for the love, the happiness and the success I have achieved during my lifetime.

Many of you may have seen this short video before; I had not, so I felt it worthy of posting here on my humble blog. How many of us feel like the people in this video? Walking around each and everyday feeling down, depressed and not worthy! Well, for all of us who need a lift with our spirits, then please watch and enjoy, and remember…You are Worthy, You are Awesome and You are Loved.
I was with a friend a couple of times over these past few days, she is going through a really tough time in her life, everything is going wrong for her, her business is failing, she owes money to everyone, she has a foreclosure notice at her door and her life is a downward spiral, in short; a mess.
We spent some hours together and i listened, she told me how much she loves what she does for a living, she explained all about her business, her daughter who is also her business partner, the animals they look after, the shop they work from and their home life. I asked her some questions and held up a mirror to her so she could see who she was and what she looked like when she answered my questions with an open heart, and all of a sudden she realised! She is not in charge of her life, everyone else is…She cannot say no to her daughter who constantly spends money they just don’t have, when her daughter says ‘we need to buy this and that for the shop because if we don’t have it in stock then we won’t be able to sell it’! , they purchase more pets for their shop paying for them up front in the hope that someone will buy them, feeding them everyday and keeping them warm 24 hours a day, incurring the veterinary bills and so on in the hope that they will sell. They are passionate about animals, they are excellent pet behaviourists, they are gifted caregivers to all animals but they have no business sense whatsoever, they; like many others go on day after day on a downward spiral, loosing all hope and in most cases loosing everything.
My friend now realises that she can be in charge of her life, she can make a success of her business, she can change things around from doom and gloom to a brighter and happier way of life moving forward.
She has now started to map out a plan, to speak to her daughter and tell her the facts, to close down the shop and to concentrate on a new business model focussing on their real love, the animals and their care.
I will stick close to her and help her through the difficult challenges she has ahead of her; but she will do the work, she will be in charge of her life and she will make it through 🙂
Remember my friends, if we can help someone realise that they can take control of their lives and make changes for the better, then, we have done a great job for humanity 🙂
And I thought I was strong enough to get through what I thought was a simple task!
WordPress is driving me insane and I’m using up all my levels of compassion, happiness and joy whilst trying to add side bar and header bar links!
I just cannot get them to happen! I have tried everything, read training materials, read books on WordPress, tried adding Widgets, Links, Pages and all those options …BUT NOTHING Works!
Is it just me? Am I that computer illiterate ?
How do you do it?…Someone, please come to my rescue!
I want to add links on the side bar and or side bar and header banners to other sites but I’m 100% lost!
‘You’, ‘Yes You my friend’ are the light of god. You are here by God’s grace, it’s irrelevant which religion you believe in but ‘You’, ‘Yes You’ are a gift to this world from your God.
Every human on this planet was brought into life on God’s wish, we were all born for a reason, it is our destiny to do good, to exude Love, compassion and Happiness and bring light to this world and to look after our world, look after and protect each other and our environment…Most; however get lost along the way!
Our abilities to shine our light, to do the right thing, to help others, to help protect our environment and to heal ourselves becomes lost and blocked over time when during our childhood and teenage years we were told things like, ‘Don’t Be Silly’, ‘Ah, they are all right they are just beggars, they probably have more money than us’, ‘ It’s no good giving money because it gets taken by their government’, ‘You cannot do this’, ‘You cannot do that’, ‘You need to see the doctor because your ill’, ‘Don’t talk to that imaginary friend, he or she does not exist’, ‘Oh that’s ok it’s not in our country, you know what those foreigners are like’ etc; etc.
Were brainwashed to give up our natural skills and abilities, to live life with an open mind and an open heart, to see with compassion, to use our intuitions and inner abilities to diagnose our ills and heal ourselves. Our parents, siblings and families help us during our growing years to block out the realities of life and keep us ‘Safe’ from the world and all it’s dangers and we become conditioned to follow like sheep and do as everyone as done before us! ‘Please don’t get me wrong’, our parents are doing what they think best and passing on the knowledge that was passed on to them.
It’s interesting and encouraging to see that ‘Slowly’ things are now changing, more people all around the world are starting to wake up, they are opening their eyes for the first time and noticing that ‘This World is in Pain’, ‘People are in pain’, ‘Countries are in pain’, ‘Our environment is in pain’ and ‘Pollution and contamination is everywhere’.
Our oceans are full of garbage and our man made poisons and toxins are killing off our natural sources of food and water.
The lungs of our planet (our trees) are being cut down in the name of ‘progress and profit’ and replaced with more housing and more factories, which then adds to the pollution in areas that were once pristine and toxin free! De-forestation adds more dust and sand particles to the atmosphere (Google PM2.5 to learn more) which then creates a change in the weather so more storms are created which then increases breathing related problems like asthma, bronchitis and even worse.
I ask you all to begin today and for you to see the difference between the absence of light versus the mental construct of darkness or the dark forces in the Universe.
Darkness cannot deny light, never has, never will. In many situations, you can cover up your light, deny your light, and ignore your light. Some do this to such an extent that they may not remember their own Divinity, their own light, their own birthright, their own Spiritual heritage; however, that does not mean there are dark forces attempting to take your soul, or dark forces effecting your existence.
Begin today to see that darkness is part of your conditionings, a mentally established, manufactured assembly, and a fabrication of your religion. It is one of the great illusions. You are born from the light of God, uncover it, and allow that light to shine big and bright!
And please, open your eyes to what is really happening all around us, Our Planet is being Destroyed little by little, each and every day…What will it take for your to do something?
