Lost for Words!

My Dear Friends,

I’m just lost for words!

I have been going through one of the most challenging times of my life and honestly I’m just lost for words……

Each day, for the last few months, I have wanted to put my fingers on this keyboard and spell out my feelings, to share with you what has been going on in my life, but when i go to do so, I’m just lost for words!

I cannot seem to conjure up the words that will make the sense of what my heart has been feeling, I cannot seem to express the brokenness of my heart through words alone, only tears can start to convey how I have been feeling.

Sometimes only my lovely dogs can understand, they come to me when I’m crying, they feel my pain and without any judgement, they lie by my side, no words are needed only their unconditional love, which is ‘Always’ there for me.

I look outside to the world that surrounds me, my family, my friends, and, sometimes I, see only me…The world continues on, I am just a blip on the landscape, a soul in transition, a source of energy that moves along with the movement of time, my life is my life, yes, people care for me but it’s my life and only I am responsible for it, only I can live it, only I can find the words to continue my way….

The world continues on, I am just a blip on the landscape, a soul in transition, a source of energy that moves along with the movement of time. My life is my life! Yes, people care for me, but it’s my life, and only I am responsible for it. Only I can live it, only I can find the words to convey how I feel, only I can feel the pain, only I ,…. Only I……..

As more tears run down my cheek, and, start to wash away my pain, only I can feel the hurt inside, only I can listen to my ego, only I,…. Only I….

Today is a new day, maybe today will bring me more joy….

Only I can make a difference, Only I can take away the pain….

Only I….

Loneliness

Published 26/06/2015 by inspiringyourspirit

alone

Sometimes I just sit alone and think, often thinking too much about my life, the people around me, my family, my friends, my work colleagues, spending too much time overthinking and allowing my ego mind to have it’s way with me!

Our days are filled with wasted time, hour after hour our mind ticks over, relentlessly sending us it’s opinions based upon our thoughts on the things we see, hear and fell, judging this and judging that, telling us to hate this person, stay away from that person, beware and fear this or that and holding us back from living our lives to the full.

Somedays our hearts are totally controlled by our mind, we feel lost and alone, its like something is missing from our heart, like a lost loved one, something is missing and causing us pain, we become tearful, agitated, anxious and sometimes so down that we just don’t want to get up or go out, the feeling is so strong that it controls our very being and stops us from moving forward with our lives.

Loneliness and the lack of love for ourselves feeds our ego mind, it fuels its fire and allows damaging thoughts to be generated at a rapid speed, negativity reigns supreme when the ego mind is at play, controlling our very being.

When your feeling down and lonely, its hard to pick yourself up when the ego mind is holding you down , twisting your mind with its negativity, pumping your body full of non-productive, suppressing ideas as to how you should live your life, it’s in total control…but how do we break free from the clutches of our ego mind?

Well, in my case, meditation is the key, it brings me peace and allows me to break free of the chains that my ego mind has wrapped around my soul, meditation takes me to a place of peace, to a solitude of silence where I can connect with my soul, with my Divine Self and where I can take back my life from the clutches of this egotistic mind that is at play with me.

If you suffer from any form of loneliness, unhappiness, anxiety in your life then please try meditation, seek out someone to help you, to guide you in the early stages of your practice……feel free once again and regain your happiness, then start living your life of joy 🙂

Touching on Love Again!

Published 16/06/2015 by inspiringyourspirit

lord-buddha-animated-images-beautiful-best-latest

Ah, here I am again talking about love 🙂

But what is love?

I have posted about Love so many times, love for self, love for others, unconditional love etc……

But when i sit down, meditate and go into my heart centre i realise that most of us are under the wrong impression of what love really is!

Oh my!, What am I letting myself in for now!…..I guess I will get lots of replies stating…’Rubbish Post’,……. Love is….etc!

Well, here goes anyway 🙂

To me, Love is everything, Love is with us from the day we are conceived because our mother gives us the love from her body to help carry us through the pregnancy period; until the day that we are born, then we receive the love from our parent/s, our siblings, our families… we receive love from our friends, our colleagues and from our experiences in life.

Love is all around…..So we should be happy, right?

Actually, the next time your sitting with your dog or your cat, take a proper look at the feeling, the sensation and their energy towards you, they are in fact giving you love, unconditional love, especially from the dog. Cat’s.. well, they have their own opinions on life and will give you their love when they are ready, but a dog’s love is unconditional and always!….Then take a long look at your life, where is your love? how do you show your love? do you love yourself?…I don’t mean how you look in a mirror, but deep down, Do you love who you are?, What you stand for and where you are going with your life?

I often ask my friends:-

What is important to your life,

What do you feel is missing from your life?,

What are you seeking, looking for in your life?

And the answers are:

Love

Happiness

Success

But love comes, and it goes…We think and believe that love is just a relationship thing between two people, a partnership, a marriage etc,…and then, when that love goes away, we are left in a mess, often deep down in depression, bringing anxiety, unhappiness and sadness to our life ……

So! How many of us actually love ourselves?…..

Actually not that many of us because most of us don’t love the way we look, we are not happy with our weight, body shape, we are either too tall or too short, too much hair or (in my case lack of hair) 🙂 We don’t love our jobs, we don’t love our daily lives, we don’t love our homes and, on and on the lack of love for ourselves goes on causing us to be unhappy with who we are……

Well! , let me tell you something.

If you don’t love yourself then how do you expect to attract love into your life?

So, pick yourself up, start a new page and take another look at yourself…..What’s not to love!……..Right?

You are a Divine being, you are a wonderful creation, you are love itself!…And the sooner you realise this and make this your daily mantra then the sooner you can start enjoying your life, attracting more love into your daily life then bringing about happiness and then achieving all the success you truly want in your life.

So, if you are going to say  ‘Rubbish Post’ then fine, but if for one second you feel you are not 100% happy with the love in your life and the love for yourself; then please take a long look at yourself, see who you really are, connect with your Divine Self, connect with your heart and see the love, then share the love and …Love….Will come right back at ya 🙂

Go on, do yourself a favour for once…ACT!

Bringing Unconditional Love Back to Our World, One Person at a Time

Published 09/06/2015 by inspiringyourspirit

What does unconditional love mean to you?

For most of us we think it is simply the love between two human beings, love of a partner, a husband, wife, child or friend but unconditional love is actually much more than that, it transpires the relationship between two human beings into the realms of love that are sadly missing from our daily lives, our relationships between religions, our relationships between countries, our relationships between race, colour and creed. Most of the conflicts in our relationships arise because of our greed, our desires and our expectations, and, when both parties are selfish and self-centered, they do not remain in a relationship for long as the suffering becomes greater, distance comes about until total separation is the end result. The ideal relationship is that which is based upon mutual unconditional love and respect. It is as difficult as finding an ideal saintly human being upon earth. We cannot practice it if we have desires and expectations and if we are guided by fear, egoism, greed and self-interest.

love

We may study scriptures and participate in intellectual debates, but it will serve no purpose if we do not have a loving heart. We may judge others based on the religious morality we learn. But it is of no use in our own spiritual development, if we do not follow it ourselves and validate it based upon our own experience. Religious dogma is not meant to develop a blind following, but rather a deep curiosity to search for truth.
Unconditional love or our infinite innate capacity to love others unconditionally, can take us beyond the mortal plane into the realm of the immortal gods. When you go beyond desire-ridden judgments and selfish expectations and accept people and things with love and compassion, you earned the right to reach the abode of God. When you do not act with moral superiority and religious prejudice, you become a source of love and healing to others.

As human beings, we all have our weaknesses. We are incapable of exhibiting the virtuous qualities of God in our ordinary selves. However, our weaknesses and imperfections can be overcome if we strive to transcend our lower nature with abundant faith and love in God and cultivate the single most important virtue of unconditional love. Unconditional love can arise only in a mind that is truly detached, that has no preference and is established in equanimity and oneness.

Therefore, bring love into your life and radiate it unconditionally, like a flower radiates its fragrance, by cultivating detachment and equanimity of the mind. Accept everything that comes into your life as part of your divine creation and as a part of your destiny. Build relationships not for mutual satisfaction of wants and desires, but for the sake of unconditional love, without expecting anything in return.

First, practice it towards those whom you may harbor negativity and resentment of those whom you find difficult to forgive. Learn to forgive them and let go of your feelings of hurt and indignation. Then gradually spread the same attitude towards one and all. As part of your practice, you should radiate your love in your daily life towards one and all, and try to be forgiving and helpful. If you start practicing these suggestions, slowly you develop a compassionate heart, which will open the doors of God’s unconditional love to you.

If you look carefully, most things in creation already practice unconditional love. It is usually humans who have difficulty in practicing it because we are the subjects of freewill, desires and attachment. A tree does not choose whom to give its fruit. It is we who build a fence around it. A well does not choose whom to give water. A river does not choose whose boat it will carry. A flower does not choose to whom it will spread its fragrance. The sun and moon do not choose to whom to radiate their warmth and light.

God’s unconditional love manifests when we silence our desires and suspend our judgment. Both are difficult to practice. When they are absent, God’s love manifests itself. It is in the silent heart of a Buddhist Monk, an Ascetic Yogi, Priest, Pastor, Cleric, Brahman, holy person that the unconditional love wells up.

Universal Love….

Every religion in the world today talks about love, peace and harmony, to love your brothers and sisters, to do good unto men

  • The only love worthy of a name is unconditional.
  • The only way love can last a lifetime is if it’s unconditional. The truth is this: love is not determined by the one being loved but rather by the one choosing to love.
  • Intense love does not measure, it just gives.
  • Love is the doorway through which the human soul passes from selfishness to service.
  • Where there is great love there are always miracles.
  • Where there is love there is life.
  • Since love grows within you, so beauty grows. For love is the beauty of the soul.” St. Augustine
  • Love is life…and if you miss love, you miss life.
  • Universal love gives without expecting anything back.
  • Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called the Children of God. 1 John 3:1
  • Greater love has no one than this, that he laid down his life for his friends. John 15:13
  • God is love, and he who lives in love, lives in God and God in him 1 John 4:14
  • God loves you no matter who you are. He will cover you within his feathers. Under his wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Psalm 91:4
  • These is only one love that loves unconditionally-The love of the Divine.
  • Love is patient, love is kind, love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on it’s own way, it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
  • God loves each of us as if there was only one of us- Augustine
  • I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant. – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr
  • Love is the absence of judgment
  • Until he has unconditional and unbiased love for all beings, man will not find peace. – Buddha
  • The greatest gift you can give to others is the gift of unconditional love and acceptance.

Go with unconditional love my friends, be the love and share the love with all beings.

My Dear Friends,

I watched this video and read many Chinese articles about this brave and very articulate little boy Chen Xiao Tian and his final wishes to save his mothers life by gifting her his kidney after he passed away. Such wisdom, such bravery and unconditional love from this tiny little boy.

There are angels amongst us, watching over us and helping us do the right thing when our time is called.

Blessings to Chen Xiao Tian, may his soul rest in peace and may he fly freely with the angels who watch over humanity.

Channelled Mantra and Mandala

Channeled Mandala & Mantra OTC Lesson 1(1)

My Dear friends,

As you know I have been absent from my blog for the past few weeks dealing with some family issues and I have also embarked on a wonderful year long spiritual program which is also taking up a lot of my spare time, and although time consuming its benefits to me spiritually have already been immense. I will over time give you further details of this program and also share with you some of my journey within the next 12 months 🙂

During the start of the program we were asked to connect our light channel, align and fully open our chakras and open our heart to ‘Source’ and ground this connection deeply with Mother Earth, this I did and once my heart was fully open I started to channel pure love and pure source energy from ‘Source / God’. Many wonderful things happened to me on this initial journey as I connected to Source, Ascended Masters, My Spiritual Guides, Healers and Angelic beings, whilst in meditation and during the journey with my higher self I channelled the following Mandala and Mantra which I hand drew and painted after the meditation session, I do hope you like them and also feel the positive energy and unconditional love that were shared with me from above that day 🙂

Blessings of Love and light to you all

Happiness, What Does It Mean To You?

Happiness, what does that word mean to you?

The Oxford English Dictionary’s definition of Happiness is ” The quality or condition of being happy.”

But what does that mean, whats makes us/you happy?

Well for me, being happy and happiness generally is simple, it is often the most simple things in life that make me happy e.d:-

Seeing my wife laugh

Hearing the voices of my children on the phone

My Dogs wagging their tail

The comfortable feeling after a good meal

The taste of honey on fresh brown toast

My morning coffee

Watching children play without a care in the world

Hearing the birds sing

Watching the sun rise or the sun set

Being in nature

The smell of freshly mown grass

The sound of the ocean, waves crashing on the shore

Feeling the sunshine on my face

Listening to the soft breeze through bamboo leaves

Walking alone in the countryside

Meditation and what its peace brings to my life

Meeting friends on a Friday evening for drinks and some laughs

My dogs cuddling on my lap, fast asleep and safe

My spiritual journey and what it still has in offer to me

The unconditional love of my wife

I could go on and on with this list because there are so many things in my life that i’m thankful for and of which make me happy.

How about you, what makes you happy?

Friendship.

What does it mean to you?

Can you be friends with your family?

Can you be friends with your spouse?

Can you really be friends with your colleagues?

How about friendships with your animals?

To me, they are all friends, my heart is open to all and I will take on many new friends as they come into my life. Some come into my life and stay, and some go, they move on with their life’s journey when it takes them on to new pastures. I too move on, some friends have been with me forever, some i have not seen for years but they are still true friends and they would be here for me in a moments need, I too would be there for them whatever the time of day, the time to get there and cost is irrelevant because I would get there as soon as i can. Friendships with family, often challenging but the love is there no matter the challenge.

Friendship is to be worked on with many or as simple as simple can be, with few words exchanged, you both go on with life knowing the other completely and loving each other unconditionally, without the need for words. Being there for your friend and listening without judgement is so special and appreciated by the other, which in turn will repay itself at a later date..no time limit needed 🙂

How often do we recognise our friends, how often do we tell them how much they are loved and appreciated? Often not enough as we take the relationship/s for granted, they are always there, we are always there but sometimes a hug, a quick call, a note of appreciation is all it takes to say…

“I love you my friend, you are so much appreciated in my life, thanks for being there for me” 🙂

So, my dear friends, thank you for being a part of my life, we may never meet face to face, but you are all true friends, your support of my blog is so appreciated and your kind words, comments and faves give me the spirit to do more, to help more people, to continue on with my spiritual journey and make my life and yours a better life, each and every day.

Do you Know Love

Published 26/01/2015 by inspiringyourspirit

work.3763119.4.flat,550x550,075,f.love-unconditionally

Those who know Love
Know its facility in all matters,
Others find it useful occasionally
While the broken-hearted bitterly laugh
And deny Love altogether.
Can you hear in their laughter
The sound of Heaven?

God is not to blame for the separation.
He has never turned his back on you.
Blame is the disease
Which blinds you of unity’s truth.

Wake up; the nightmare is over.
The light is in them
As well as in you.
The thinest of veils
Divides the two.
You are one Self.

You are not weak, but strong.
You are not limited, but unlimited.
You are not unloved, but much beloved.
You have suffered only for this,
That you may bless those who suffer still.

Take your time to contemplate the words above my dear friends and think of ways in which you can help others to see that they too are loved, share your love with them and make their day 🙂

Less is More!..And Happiness Comes From Within.

Most people would look at this picture and disagree because they cannot see any value in what the picture contains, but I see unconditional love and respect. And I thoroughly agree with the statement ‘The less you have the more you value it’.

We live in a material world when goods/products out value lives, when the throw away left overs from your meal cost more than these people on the streets have to survive on all month; and even more depending in which country they are from!

Human kindness takes a different turn when you have little, you see the goodness in the small things, you notice the sun shining, the warmness or the rain, the flowers blooming, the scent of freshly mown grass, and the genuine kindness and smiles of hope given to you by a passer by, in this image the man treasures his dog, his companion on his life journey and he will protect it and care for it unconditionally.

I look around me and see so many things, things i take for granted, things that make my life easier, computers, cell phones, printers, pens, paper, books, clothes, food, drinks, everything I could possibly want….but…., do they bring me happiness? No!…Happiness comes from within, I don’t need these things to make me happy and more of these things will not raise my levels of happiness, only I can do that. I often look and watch children playing, children with nothing, some of the poorest children around me, these children play on the streets with the simplest of toys that they pull together from scraps, pieces of string, the wheel of a cart, a box for them to sit in, but their smiles say it all, they live in the now, the swiftly fashioned toy takes them to somewhere else, and they live the dream. They don’t need more expensive toys to bring them happiness, because happiness is within!

Kids Playing in the Street

I wish we could all see these children play, to watch their joy, their simple lives not yet effected by the media, the sales promotions that create ‘Want and Desire’, If only we could learn that ‘Happiness comes from Within’

Unconditional Love.

Wow, this is an amazing picture and clearly shows the unconditional love between the baby elephant and its carer. If you look carefully you will see images like this everywhere in this world, between men and women, loving partners, children, parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, humans and animals and animals to animals. It’s a lovely thing to see and the feeling I get from looking at a image like this just fills my heart with joy, my smile is as wide as can be and it makes me glad to be alive and thankful for what I have in my life, the love for my wife, the love for my children, for my friends, for my environment and for our world, it also makes me want to bring more of it to our world, to try and make others open their eyes and live the joy that I see 🙂

We are truly lucky to be alive, we are truly lucky to have the opportunity to make our world an even better place to live, we have a chance of making our world a peaceful place, where our children can grow up without fear and animals can roam free without persecution or fear for their lives.

Unconditional love my friends.

Today I smile, today I choose happiness, today I choose life, today I choose forgiveness , today is a new day for us all to enjoy 🙂

Unconditional Love

Published 05/08/2013 by inspiringyourspirit

buddhist-monks1

Several centuries ago, seven monks were in a cave in a jungle somewhere in Asia, meditating on unconditional love. There was the head monk, his brother and his best friend. The fourth was the head monk’s enemy: they just could not get a long. The fifth monk in the group was a very old monk, so advanced in years that he was expected to die at any time. The sixth monk was sick – so ill in fact that he too could die at any time. And the last monk, the seventh, was the useless monk. He always snored when he was supposed to be meditating; he couldn’t remember his chanting, and if he did he would chant off-key. He couldn’t even keep his robes on properly. But the others tolerated him and thanked him for teaching them patience.

One day a gang of bandits discovered the cave. It was so remote, so well hidden, that they wanted to take it over as their own base, so they decided to kill all the monks. The head monk, fortunately, was a very persuasive speaker. He managed – don’t ask me how – to persuade the gang of bandits to let all the monks go, except one, who would be killed as a warning to the other monks not to let anyone know the location of the cave. That was the best the head monk could do.

The head monk was left alone for a few minutes to make the awful decision of who should be sacrificed so that the others could go free.

When I tell this story in public, I pause here to ask my audience, “Well, who do you think the head monk chose?” It stops some of my audience from going to sleep during my talk, and it wakes up the others who are already asleep. I remind them that there was the head monk, the brother, the best friends, the enemy, the old monk and the sick monk (both close to death), and useless monk. Who do you think he chose?

Some then suggest the enemy….. “No”, I say.

“His brother?”

…….”Wrong.”

The useless monk always gets a mention – how uncharitable we are! Once I have had my bit of fun, I reveal the answer: ……The head monk was unable to choose.

His love for his brother was exactly the same, no more and no less, than his love for his best friend – which was exactly the same as his love for the enemy, for the old monk, the sick monk, and even for the dear old useless monk. He had perfected the meaning of those words: the door of my heart will always be open to you, whatever you do, whoever you are.

The door of the head monk’s heart was wide open to all, with unconditional, non-discriminating, free-flowing love. And most poignantly, his love for others was equal to his love for himself. The door of his heart was open to himself as well. That’s why he couldn’t choose between himself and others.

I remind any Christians in my audience that their books say to “love thy neighbour as thy self”. Not more than yourself and not less than yourself, but equal to yourself. It means to regard others as one would regard oneself, and oneself as one regards others.

Why is it that most in my audience thought that the head monk would choose himself to die? Why is it, in our culture, that we are always sacrificing ourselves for others and this is held to be good? Why is it that we are more demanding, critical and punishing of ourselves than of anyone else? It is for one and the same reason: we have not yet learned how to love ourselves. If you find it difficult to say to another “the door of my heart is open to you, whatever you do”, then that difficulty is trifling compared with the difficulty you will face in saying to yourself, “Me. The one I’ve been so close to for as long as I can remember. Myself. The door of my heart is open to me as well. All of me no matter what I have done. Come in.”

That’s what I mean by loving ourselves: it’s called forgiveness. It is stepping free from the prison of guilt; it is being at peace with oneself. And if you do find the courage to say those words to yourself, honestly, in the privacy of your inner world, then you will rise up, not down, to meet sublime love. One day, we all have to say to ourselves those words, or ones similar, with honesty, not playing games. When we do, it is as if a part of ourselves that had been rejected, living outside in the cold for so long, has now come home, we feel unified, whole, and free to be happy. Only when we love ourselves in such a way can we know what it means to really love another, no more and no less.

And please remember you do not have to be perfect, without fault, to give yourself such love. If you wait for perfection, it never arrives. We must open the door of our heart to ourselves, whatever we have done. Once inside, then we are perfect.

People often ask me what happened to those seven monks when the head monk told the bandits that he was unable to choose.

The story, as I heard it many years ago, didn’t say: it stopped where I have finished. But I know what happened next; I figured out what must have ensued. When the head monk explained to the bandits why he couldn’t choose between himself and another, and described the meaning of love and forgiveness as I have just done for you, then all the bandits were so impressed and inspired that not only did they let the monks live, but they became monks themselves…Well, that’s my ending anyway 🙂

Put a Little Love in Your Heart

Published 04/07/2013 by inspiringyourspirit

images-2

The love and deep compassion residing in our heart is a sign of us being at one with our God, it matters not which God we believe in because we all have our own faith and beliefs. When we are tuned into this love, we are at one with the universe and at one with all that is. We feel compassion, we feel love and we are guided by the grace of God.

To be in the heart is to be free of the everyday traumas that our lives bring to us. Love gives us freedom, it brings us joy and happiness, it is our destiny and our home.

The freedom that love brings to us reigns in the heart of many, as the community of life comes together in the oneness of all. To feel the breath of life in every moment and to live the essence of ‘now’ is to live within the heart and shine from the soul.

We are all blessed in the same way despite our differences in colour, creed or religious belief, we awake each day to the rising of the sun, the sound of the dawn chorus, the freshness of a beautiful new day, the gift of the sun rising in the sky and the gentle warmth that it brings to the dawn of our day.

GreetThisDayWithLove2

Quiet your mind and allow it to be guided by your heart, be aware of who you are, your surroundings, your breath, feel the Qi energy flowing throughout your body, the pulse from our heart the gentle sounds in your ears, be at one with your mind, body and soul, give yourself praise, give yourself unconditional love and truly care about your own wellbeing and happiness. Follow your intuition, bring your mind to the ‘Now’ take a brief moment to be thankful for your new day, for the gift of love, for your happiness and give thanks to everyone that is special to you, your friends, family and loved ones, give your thanks with passion and seek guidance from the source of your inner love. Listen for its advice as it speaks to you through the darkness of night and the cold rain swept days. Seek out your inner child and listen to your emotions as they speak to you and teach you what is real and what is illusion. The heart will feel for you, the soul will know and the body will do.

Learn to live your life in a balanced way where your mind, body and soul are as one and in perfect harmony and flow as is ‘Ying and Yang’. Balance; like ‘Ying and Yang’ is critical for your wellbeing and your bodily and spiritual health, take your time to be at one with your health, allow it to talk to you to tell you where problems lie and how to address the weaknesses.

Give your love freely each day, Love thy neighbor, love thy spouse, love thy friend and love thyself. By living life in a loving way each day, it brings us joy, happiness and more love in return. ‘Karma at its very best’.
