Lost for Words

Published 03/11/2016 by inspiringyourspirit

My Dear friends,

I have been lost for words of late, I just can’t seem to summon up the words to write a post, I have however been doing a lot of painting and drawing, usually following on directly after my meditations. During these meditations I have received strong visions, pictures so vivid that once I come out of meditation I start to draw or paint. So in light of my lack of written posts, I have attached a few of my most recent paintings for you viewing, amusement and or comments.

My Spiritual Journey (Continued)

Published 19/10/2016 by inspiringyourspirit

My Dear Friends,

I thought it was about time I updated this page ‘My Spiritual Journey’ as I have neglected it for way, way too long 😦

Many things have happened to me over this past year or so, I have experienced many beautiful things and many things I would rather forget! However, I do realise that life as we know it is not a bed of roses, life comes with its up’s and it’s down’s, good and bad, happy and sad…Life, is as they say, ‘What it is’!. I

I do, however, also know that life is what you make it, life is how you view it and life is determined by your thoughts and your actions, we have choices each and every day, and most of the time we choose the easy route, the route with what we perceive is the least painful, the less challenging, and the one that sits closest to our comfort zone…But hey!, come on guys, the reality is all that you are searching for, and yearning for; sits just outside your comfort zone!….’Fact’

I, like many others am also comfortable within my comfort zone, I like to be alone most of the time, although I am a good socialiser and actually quite like it when I get off my backside and ‘Just Do It’!…But, I like many millions of others, I don’t often take the risks or walk outside my comfort zone because of fear, fear of the unknown…’Will it be ok? Will I be ok? What if?…Etc

My spiritual connection with my higher self, my sensitivity, my empathy and me healing energies have been gaining strength over the years, my intuition is really high and if I would only let go of my ego mind; fully, then abundance flows in my life, my life is filled with joy, happiness, love, and compassion, I go from strength to strength on ‘high’, high on life itself!…But it’s that damn word again ‘Fear’…that always holds me back, the fear of not being successful, the fear of letting people down, the fear of not generating enough income to survive and provide, the fear, the damn fear!…

My channeling has taken a back step of late because of fear, my daily meditations have taken a back step because of fear, my plans for my spiritual retreat have taken a back step or no step forward because of fear…..But why?….What is behind this fear?

So, yesterday I did a family constellation with a real Master, a lady who has been doing family constellations for more that 30 years, she teaches family constellations all around the world and yesterday I came out of my ‘Fear Closet’ and actually did one for myself…and it was amazing 🙂 She opened my eyes, and more importantly, opened my heart to what this fear was/is, she took me deeply into my own family constellation, we looked at all my family, my parents, their parents, brothers and sisters, aunties, uncles, children, grandchildren and the relationships within all these groups, we role-played my parents and as my heart started to open, out came the truths, the things that have been causing my fears, the things holding me back from living my life, from achieving the best from my life and holding me back from my future.

Now, obviously I’m not going to go into details of that was/is causing my fear but suffice to say I confronted them straight on, they were open right there before my eyes, I could see then, look them in the eyes and release them, and it felt great, I felt great….At last, my tears flowed, they flowed and they flowed, I met my fears head on, I took control, I gave the burdens that i have been carrying for years back to them as they were no longer mine to hold, and I stood tall; with a smile on my face and an open heart, once again ready to move forward with my life….

constellations

So, my dear friends, don’t allow your fears to hold you back any longer, reach out to someone who can help, message me if you need support, because there is ‘Always’ a way to break free of the chains that hold you back…. 🙂

Pain, Heart Ache, Tears…and More!

Published 10/10/2016 by inspiringyourspirit

My Dear Friends,

It has been many, many, long weeks since I have been able to place my fingers on this keyboard, to even attempt to write my blog…Words have left me, my heart has been broken and I have been struggling to get through my days and my nights.

The love of my life, my beautiful wife has decided to leave me 😦 There is no one else involved and we are still the best of friends, she has her own spiritual journey and her own pathway to follow, and her own needs to consider, and although this decision has truly broken my heart, I also respect her and I honour her decision.

Tears, endless buckets of tears have left my eyes, washed down my face and helped wash away my pain, my heart has missed so many beats, the slightest thought, song, tv program or word seems to set me off again, my beautiful dogs have given me endless cuddles, laid by my side while I have been crying and comforted me on endless occasions over these past few weeks, helping me move on with my life.

My own spirituality, my connection to my higher self, my pathway has been called into my thoughts each and every day, I quizzed myself endlessly, asking myself why!…and Where am I going with my life!

I read your comments, see and feel the love that you share, and I’m truly honoured by your sentiment and words of love, compassion, and support.

Where do I go from here?….Honestly, I don’t yet know!

Each day is a new day, a move towards the future, and whatever that holds for me.

One piece of positive news is after many years of procrastination, I actually went to Bhutan, hiked up some of the highest mountains, visited many amazing Buddhist Monasteries and Temples, met with Lamas and Rinpoche’s, meditated in the sacred sites and touched my heart with the Buddha in one of the most amazing experiences of my life….Future post…Maybe!…Watch this space.

Going With The Flow Of Life

Published 04/08/2014 by inspiringyourspirit

surfs up

In Taoism the Tao ‘Wu Wei’ is often compared to a river. When we talk about going with the flow, we are describing the Tao as having a definitive direction, just like a river flowing in a certain way. Since we live in the Tao, it is important to understand its direction, just as those who swim in a river must understand how its currents work and how this effects their ability to swim, or not.

Moving in flow with the Tao is like swimming downstream. It requires little or no effort at all and you can travel a large distance in a very short time without expending all your energy. Moving against the Tao is like swimming upstream. No matter how hard you try and how hard you swim against the flow of the river, you will struggle to get anywhere and very soon you become exhausted and will possibly drown.

This is why harmony, peace and love are emphasised in the teachings of the Tao. They represent the same flow as the Tao. The more you move with them, the more we experience the effortless grace that they bring to our lives. Life is smooth and easy, and you can go along way in a short time.

To swim with the flow, focus on the positives within your life. Like attracts like, so as soon as you mindfully turn your attention to the goodness of life, you start heading in the same direction. Even the smallest act of appreciation, like a slight movement of a fish to align itself to the powefful current of the river, can be all that you need to turn your life around.

Stop living your life of negativity, go with the flow of life, be thankful for the blessings your life has to offer you and open your heart to a new way of life.

My Dear Friends,

Once again I’m humbled by the love and nomination for another blog award , this time its from Sarah at http://starrystez.com this nomination is for the ‘One Lovely Blog Award’ of which I give thanks. However, as many of you know I always accept the nomination in the spirit that it has been given to me and I thank the person nominating me but I do not take part in the process due to the time that it takes to respond to the criteria, this coupled with a busy working and family life and the constraints of internet access / total blocks to WordPress etc placed upon me by the country in which I live, makes it a daily challenge to just connect to the internet and gain access to the world in which many of you live.

Thank you again Sarah, I am truely thankful and grateful for your nomination and I wish everyone a beautiful day filled with love, happiness and compassion.

Communication and the Lost Art of Conversation

Communication and The Lost Art of Conversation

I’m here in a restaurant, no one is talking
Heads down
Peering into their hands
Their iPhone, their iPad, their electronic Screens

The screen that takes them away from reality
To other worlds of fantasy of dreams
Are they free or caught in a trap?
The world of lost communication, of direction being re-directed

Friends, families and loved ones
All heads down, fingers moving swiftly, click, click click
Sitting together with no conversation, no signs of life
All lost in their own little world

Worlds of self
Worlds of fantasy
Worlds of intrigue
Worlds of gossip

No love, no compassion, no cares here
In and out, one sight then the next
Moving on with no loyalty and no love lost
Today number one, tomorrow dead and gone

No face-to-face communication, no words spoken
Growing up, and growing old
No life skills, no interaction
All signs of visible life are lost

Confusion reigns and body language gone
The selfie to show whom you are
But are you that selfie or is it fake
Your alter Ego taking control

Where will it end?
The corporations richer, manipulating our fingers to their hearts desire
More controls over us, our thoughts, our lives
The lost art of communication

The End

If we have no peace it is because we have forgotten we belong to each other.

Published 27/01/2014 by inspiringyourspirit

peace1

Oh Mother Theresa, you were certainly a saint and very attuned to the problems of our world. Yes, I agree, we have forgotten that we belong to each other, we are all of one world, one humanity and one real race all going back to one couple right at the start of humanity. We forget this simple thing because we see each other as different, different colours, different countries, different religions, different cultural beliefs, different languages spoken, different political control, different ways of life…just different!…But, we are ONE and the SAME!

I notice political spin happening all the time, one country blaming the next for whatever, one political power challenging another using whatever excuse to gain more control, control natural resources such as oil, gas and god forbid water, gain more power, one country using its strength to control another country or countries, using that might to frighten and manipulate the powers that be to do as they say; total control over what we do, what we buy, what we think, how we live..total control! You know; George Orwell was not far wrong in his book 1984!

I wish, just wish that we could ‘Wake Up’!
Wake up to the fact that we are all one and the same, we are all connected, we are one humanity and we are being controlled by the powers that be, within our countries, by our politicians and by the corporate elites, these groups and individuals have the control, they manage our lives with total control…We like to think we are free, most of us think we live in the land of the free….but do we? How much freedom do we actually have?

We need to really wake up and smell the roses, take a long hard look at our world, take ownership as indivduals to do something, something to change our world, to bring about peace in our lifetime, we can do it! We can bring about change and we can gain back the control.
In the words of the song ‘A change is gonna Come’ by Sam Cooke;

I was born by the river in a little tent
Oh and just like the river I’ve been running ever since
It’s been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
It’s been too hard living but I’m afraid to die
’
Cause I don’t know what’s up there beyond the sky
It’s been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
I go to the movie and I go downtown
Somebody keep telling me, “Don’t hang around”
It’s been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
Then I go to my brother
And I say, “Brother, help me please”
But he winds up knockin’ me
Back down on my knees
Oh there been times that I thought I couldn’t last for long
But now I think I’m able to carry on
It’s been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
I believe that together we can Make Change Come.

Finding Inner Peace….The Ultimate Aim in Life.

Published 13/11/2013 by inspiringyourspirit

inner peace

Inner Peace, what is it and how do I get it!

‘Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.’

Victor Frankl

“Give up defining yourself – to yourself or to others. You won’t die. You will come to life. And don’t be concerned with how others define you. When they define you, they are limiting themselves, so it’s their problem. Whenever you interact with people, don’t be there primarily as a function or a role, but as the field of conscious Presence. You can only lose something that you have, but you cannot lose something that you are.

Eckhart Tolle

His Holiness the Dali Lama said: “Out of compassion brings inner peace, and out of inner peace comes world peace. Without inner peace, we cannot have world peace,”

His Holiness went on to say “everyone has the same capabilities for inner peace and compassion. If a person is always in constant fear and suspicion, that’s “very bad,” Everyone has the same capacity for kindness”.

“To me, the audience is brothers and sisters — no difference,” “Emotionally, mentally and physically we are the same. Negative emotions — anger, fear suspicion are the same. On the other hand, we have the same potential for compassion. Compassion is the seed of inner peace. We all have the same potential.” Showing compassion to an enemy helps to achieve inner peace, he said. “Neighbors with jealousy never get peace,”

Smiling often and genuinely is another key to finding compassion and inner peace, the more positive you are, the better you feel.

“Scientists have now began to realize — for physical health — reduce blood pressure, reduce anxiety, reduce fear …. Calmness is very, very important,”

So as a layman such as I, Inner peace is to be calm, to be in the ‘Now’, to be at peace with yourself, to smile, and to connect to others even our enemies with compassion. Compassion is such an important element of my life, often my  closest friends say to me ‘I’m too compassionate’!…In my mind, I can never be compassionate enough, they say ‘I’m utterly selfless’ and that sometimes is also to my detriment, ‘but hey’, that’s me and I try to bring compassion into every encounter I experience. It allows me to see the inter-connectedness of all life forms and that we are all part of a whole life energy force, the divine matrix filled with light and love. And that by widening our circle of compassion to others during our everyday encounters, and by practicing non-violence; always begins with us. The practice of compassion starts with us blocking out our negative thoughts and removing our notions of anger, hatred and violence, therefore reducing if not totally removing the negative and often violent actions we inflict upon ourselves and then, onto others.

In order for me to practice loving-kindness, non-judgment, and compassion of others and myself I go about my day keeping an open heart and extending as much pure love and gratitude to everyone I meet as possible. When doing so try to use your empathetic skills and natural intuitions to listen to the other person, I mean ‘really listen, with the intent to understand’ and pay attention to the loving connection between your heart and the other person’s heart.  Allow yourself to connect to the other person and silently bless them with loving compassion. In doing so you will connect via the energy forces that go between you; ‘The Devine Matrix’ that has been given to you by God and you will attune to their true and natural feelings.

If we as humans would only start to better understand and use our natural intuitions, empathy, compassion and abilities to love one another then we may just start to change our world for the better.

As always my dear friends, I hold out my hands to each and every one of you, I give you my love, and I send you my positive energy in the hope that we, together can help change our world and make it a better place for our children and their children to love and to cherish for many generations to come.

Remember my friends, we are just visitors to this world, we are here only for a brief moment in time, and, it is all our responsibilities to help bring about peace and love and protect our world for all!

Do you need to be White, American, Heterosexual, Gay, Black, Religious, Democrat, Republican or just mad to get freshly pressed on WordPress?

Published 02/11/2013 by inspiringyourspirit

Unknown-2

Well, I guess I do qualify for at least three of these and I am not going to share with you which three 🙂

Finding a voice on WordPress or any other form of social media is somewhat difficult, you may have or may feel you have a strong message or inspiring information to share with your fellow bloggers and the world, but unless you are noticed then, your message/s stay close to home.

Unknown-4images-10e

In my case, home is Shanghai China, I am not Chinese but I have lived and worked here for many years, I do love China, it’s people, its customs and it’s long history, sadly it is changing, some say for the better and some say for the worse, China is a land of great diversity and its history and culture has led to some of the greatest inventions in the world, the creativity of its people is amazing…but…of course there has to be a BUT…it’s going crazy…everyone is driven 24 x 7 to change, to work every hour of the day 7 days a week in order to earn more, buy more STUFF….the Stuff that is purchased each and every day in every country within our beautiful world….This Stuff, portrayed to us as life changing, a must have, you cannot survive without it etc…Hype, Marketing, sales promotions etc…..but to what end?

Unknown-3images-9

If i travel to more remote parts of China and the same in other countries in Asia,, the Americas or Europe I see with my own eyes communities that do not have much ‘Stuff’, they live  on a very small income, often farming their own small plots of land, living off what they grow and living happy lives, they ‘SMILE’ and they ‘GIVE’, these people we may say ‘do not have anything’ (No cars, no flat screem TV’s, no iPhones, no laptops, no LV, Gucci or Prada bags’, their children have hand made clothes or hand-me-downs, they use old tools to work their land with no modern machinery and they don’t every eat ‘Fast Food’, but these people are happy, they have smiles on their faces and they are mostly healthy, and if you were to visit them, they will hold out their hands and greet you warmly, they will share their food and give you shelter….

Happinessimages-8

Now, don’t get me wrong, this is not utopia, some of these people do struggle, often their family is broken up when a son or daughter goes off to the city in search of fame and fortune, or when the father goes off to the growing coastal cities to work in construction and send back the majority of his monthly salary to help keep his family….but when you see these family’s together, there is happiness 🙂 There are true smiles of joy, you can hear the laughter but you can also sometimes see ‘greed’ in a glint of an eye…This greed is brought on by the media, through advertising, through the messages sent to mobile phone and tablets every second of every day…..Who are you if you don’t have this?…If you want a girlfriend or boyfriend you must wear this or do that?…If you want to be seen you must go here?……The latest iphone is here..Oh Joy..give me your hard earned cash even though the one you have is only 3 months old?……..Oh your laptop is slow and wont run this program….Buy another, it’s easy and I will help you buy it with an easy payment plan?….

And on and on it goes…..

Media madness driving us crazy, pushing us to by more STUFF each and every day, our hard earned money being wasted time and time again, our cupboard full with clothes that we never wear, our homes full of technology that is still perfect but never used, our cars filled with more gadgets and gizmos that we don’t need or understand…..but we continue to buy without a thought!

The fat cats of industry get fatter, their yacht’s get bigger, their private jets faster and more luxurious and their office ivory towers more grand, all driven by the media, by hype and the fear factor….unless you have IT…You are a nobody!

greedwealth

My dear friends, I generalise and I am not against profit, or against the media or industry because we do need these things in our world, but at the same time we need some sanity, some realisation of what goes on in our neighbourhood, our cities, our country and in other countries around the world, we need to be aware of the hardships our brothers and sisters in other countries have to live with each and every day in order to help manufacture these things you are buying, often for less that a $ per day to put some simple food on their table and put a roof over their head for the night. The filthy polluted and undrinkable water they give their children to drink everyday because they have no other option, the diseases they have to endure and suffer from because they cannot afford the vaccines to protect them, and the wars raging in their countries which are most often fuelled by greed, greed for control of the land which is ‘Our’s and not your’s’ or for the commodities like oil and precious metals that lay beneath these lands.

images-3Unknownimages-5

Where is our world heading?

Why is it spinning out of control?

Why are our politicians and governments not listening?

Where will it all end?

We…my friends can make change…but we need to come together as ONE VOICE!

The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it!

Published 01/11/2013 by inspiringyourspirit

Chinese Proverb

Our World, We are in this together, if we want things to change then ‘WE’ had better do something about it!

Some say “change cannot Happen”

Some say, “This is what life is, we need to live with it”

Some say, “Nothing can be done, they are stronger than us”

Some say, “I wish things were different”

Some say, “It’s not my problem”

Some say, “It’s their fault, they brought it on themselves”

When i read the news, watch the TV and listen to speeches regarding the problems of this world it makes me sad 😦 and I know I as one cannot wave a magic wand and make our world the perfect place to live. I alone cannot bring about world peace, end starvation, bring jobs to the jobless, solve the global financial crisis, cure disease and bring an end to war….however, I do know that i am one voice, one soul and I have a right as a human being of this planet to stand up and say…Enough is Enough!

We need change, we need our voices to be heard, we need our elected governments to listen, we need the corporations and the people that lead them to listen to our voices…..We need change….Not one person, not 100 people, not, 1,000 people but millions of like minded souls of this earth from different walks of life, from different countries, from different religions, with different languages  with different cultures need to be heard…….

Our world is in a self distructing spiral, spinning rapidly out of control, and the majority of people at the lower end of  the financial spectrum are the ones who are being hit the most and unless we fall into that category the majority of our worlds population pay no attention, they go about their days blinkered to the realities that are happening in our world…to our brothers and sisters, to our environment and to OUR world.

The Russell Brand interview on Newsweek that I posted yesterday got me thinking again and I thought, ‘WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE, WE CAN MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN’ but we need to do it in every town, every city, every country and we need to speak as one, ONE GLOBAL VOICE which MUST be listened to, a voice of our world, none of us owns this planet, none of us including our governments own the lands we call our countries, not one country or government or corporation owns our oceans, no one owns our sky, our atmosphere and our space…we are only guests here, we are supposed to be custodians of this world we call home…..The problem is we have FORGOTTEN and we allow ourselves to be controlled to the extent that we no longer have a voice!

Listed below are a few people from different walks of life, from different religions, from different timelines in history, with different languages and cultures, all of which were instrumental in change…You may have more to add to this list and you may disagree that some of them should not be on this list at all…but who am I I to say if they deserve to be on this list or not!….It’s all down to choice.

208358_451146181605478_44759584_n

All I can say is….Like these people, we can make change but this time we need to do it together….as ONE GLOBAL VOICE.

Namaste my friends
