Fo Xing 佛性: Buddha Nature

Fo Xing: Buddha Nature

Fo Xing 佛性, Buddha-nature (Classical Chinese: 佛性, modern pinyin fó xìng) literally corresponds to the Sanskrit Buddha-dhātu – “Buddha Element”, “Buddha-Principle” the Chinese term translated as Buddha Nature refers to the potential within a sentient being to awaken into enlightenment and become a Buddha. This potential exists within everyone, it is not a question of if you will ever attain Buddhahood; it is a question of when.

Despite its Buddhist origin, this term can be freely used by Tao cultivators, because it’s meaning is universal. For instance, if a spiritually advanced Christian priest becomes truly enlightened, then the title ‘Buddha’ fits him even if he does not know anything about Buddhism. Words are but labels, we must always remember to look beyond the label for the meaning it represents.

You may not think of yourself as a candidate for Buddhahood, but the Buddha Nature is in you, too. It lives in your heart regardless of your background, your education, intelligence, compassion or any other attributes, and one day it will manifest its full expression as you awaken to greater reality.

The presence of the Buddha Nature in everyone is the reason why Tao cultivators would never discriminate against anyone based upon ethnicity, background or any other superficial distinctions. As the sixth patriarch Hui Neng one said ‘People may be differentiated into northerners or southerners, but there is no differentiation in the Buddha Nature’. It is one and the same for all of humanity. It is the Tao in all of us.

Walking, Just Walking in Peace.

Published 27/05/2014 by inspiringyourspirit

IMG_1951

As I walk, I walk in peace
One step at a time, one step at a time
No priorities, no judgment, no destination
Just walking in peace, walking in peace

My feet touch the ground, I’m home, I’m home
At home, in love and in awe of mother earth
She saves me, provides for me and protects me,
The mother of all, our keeper, our life
One step at a time, one step at a time, she gives life to our world

The rays of the sun caressing my skin, awakens my senses and lighting my way
The wind gently cooling my brow, filling my lungs with compassion and love
Birds sing in the trees, their games of love on wings above, flying so high touching the sky
As I walk in peace, one step at a time making my way through life

I stop, close my eyes and just be
Listening to the world that surrounds me
The bees gently working their magic, passing the love from bud to bud
The flowers in bloom their scent, pure passion and love

My breath is slow, in out, in out, my mind empty of thought, pure calm
Aware of my surroundings a joy to behold, a picture of joy unfolding before me
A wonderful world with so much to offer, plenty for everyone and free for us all
If only we could all walk in peace, walk in peace

One step at a time, one step at a time
Our world is forever changing, one step at a time, one step at a time
On the road to peace, the road to peace
A new world of happiness, of love, peace and joy is unfolding
One step at a time, one step at a time

I See

Published 22/05/2014 by inspiringyourspirit

I See

I see your indifference
But I want to warm the cold heart
I see,
In fact, I am yet to accept your indifference

I see your pain
But I want to end the pain
I see,
In fact, I did not accompany your pain

I see your selfishness
But I judge your selfishness
I see,
In fact, it was driven by my selfishness

I see your anger
But try to get rid of your anger
I see,
In fact, I did not let you feel angry

I see your anxiety
But I feel worry about your anxiety
I see,
In fact, I start being anxious
I see your weakness
But I do not know which hand shall I use to give you a hug
I see,
In fact, I am feeling weak now as well

I see your beauty
And I appreciate your beauty
I see,
I am getting beautiful now as well

I see your kindness
And I am delighted with your kindness
I see,
Originally I have such kindness as well

I see you are true
And believing in your truth
I see,
Originally I am also being true

I see you are firm
And see the gentle accompanying
I see,
I am firm and gentle now

I see you are strong
And feeling the flexibility of the strength
I see,
I start having such power now
I see your humbleness
And feeling the self-confidence inside
I see,
I start am being humble as well

I see your peacefulness
And feeling the peaceful mercy
I see,
I am walking towards mercies now

I see your open-heart
And hugging your open-heart
I see,
In fact, I am opening my heart as well
I see you giving
Without any condition
I see,
In fact, I am learning how to share myself

I see your purity
Simply just,
Do what you want to do
Love who you want to love
Walk on the road you want to
Cry when you feel pain
Laugh when you feel happy
Rest when you feel tired
Go on when you are fine
I see myself too

If only see it, that’s only seeing
And accepting what we see
But not immediately thinking what shall be changed
Through seeing
I see myself
And I also see
The original purity and completeness of life

The Devoted Buddhist, a Story of Deception

The Devoted Buddhist
最虔诚的信徒

One upon a time in ancient China, there were two thieves, Jia and Yi, who found themselves down on their luck. Both had been starving for days when they came across a Buddhist temple. The smell of cooked food wafted from its general direction and made them even hungrier.

Yi was the first to speak “Let’s go ask for some food.”
Jia replied. “What if they are not willing to share? We may need to resort to force.”
Yi shook his head. “That is not a good idea. These monks come from the Shaolin lineage.
They are quite capable of defending themselves. You and I would have no chance against them.”

Jia thought for a moment and said, “I have an idea. We’ll tell them we are devout Buddhists.”

Yi was doubtful. “But we are not religious at all.”
“You can say that about yourself if you want. I am going to be the most devoted Buddhist they have ever seen. “ Jia said as he knocked on the door.

“Yes?” A monk opened the door.
“May merciful Buddha bless you!” Jia exclaimed. “ I bring you humble greetings from the Shaolin temple, where I am an enthusiastic patron serving the monks, who of course belong to the same honorable lineage as yourself. O Great Master.”

“How about you, sir?” The monk turned to Yi. “Are you also of our faith?”
“Uh…No, I am not very religious.”
“Very well. Please come in, gentlemen. “ The monk pointed to the hallway and said to Yi: “Sir, the kitchen is in that direction. You will find that it is well stocked. Please help yourself to whatever food you want.”

The Monk then took Jia’s hand with a friendly smile: “Sir, you can follow me to the inner chamber. Since you are of our order, you must already know today is a fasting day. We are glad to see you come such a long way to join us in meditation.
“This way please.”

The Tao

This is the ultimate Tao story about deception. With a few quick strokes, it sketches the human tendency to deceive, and the consequences that follow.
Lau Tzu addresses the same subject in the Tao Te Ching chapter 65 with the following lines:-

Therefore, using cleverness to govern the state
Is being a thief of the state
Not using cleverness to govern the state
Is being a blessing of the state

We can understand the above when we recall that Lao Tzu habitually uses this king of metaphor for one’s self, and the country as a metaphor for life. Thus, governing the state simply means life management. Cleverness, in this context, refers to the ploys we use to deceive. Just like Jia in the story, we think of ourselves as being quite clever when we conjure up our various tricks.

Lao Tzu’s message is clear: In practicing deception against others, we are actually stealing from ourselves. We may think we have gained a benefit, but it is an illusion that will soon be revealed as a loss. This describes Jia’s fate in the story. He hoped to win and advantage, but ended up depriving himself of a much-needed meal when his trick backfired on him.

At a deeper level, this story addresses not just the immediate effect of deception, but also it’s eventual consequence. Jia’s ploy backfired right away, but real life may not work out this way. Sometimes it takes a while for the true consequence to unfold. We may think, for a short time, that we have gotten away with it, but the sages teach us that there is no escape from Karma. We will have to answer for our actions sooner or later.

I do hope you have enjoyed this Buddhist story and the metaphors used by Lao Tzu to explain the process and the consequence?

Reflecting on My Life In a State of Mindful Awareness

Reflecting On My Life

How often do you take the time to just sit, relax, calm your mind and reflect on your life?

If you are like me; then you will take some time each day to sit, to meditate and to spend some quality time on yourself in a state of mindful awareness. Awareness of who you are, and what your life is like at that given moment in time. This level of mindful awareness is good for you because it allows you to check in with your inner self, to give yourself a body scan using your awareness to check up on your body, to see how its feeling and allow your body the time to speak to your heart. When your mind, body and soul are in synch with each other then you are; as the saying goes ‘Firing on all cylinders’, You will be feeling at your very best, and you will be able to use your intuition to its best and your awareness of yourself will be heightened.

IMG_2196

Giving your body a body scan.

The purpose of the body scan process is for you to become aware of what you are experiencing at that very moment, to step out of your daily routines and the confinement of what we call ‘Time’ to relax our minds and come into awareness of that very ‘Moment’, the ‘Now’, the ‘Present’ and for you to rest with an open mind whilst keeping in mind your awareness of what you are experiencing in each and every moment, even when difficult emotions, sensations or thoughts arise. In fact it is very important that we do welcome these feelings, thoughts and emotions and recognize them for what they are, and maybe even label them as ‘Thoughts’, ‘Noise, Warmth’ etc; and then gently bring back our awareness to our breath. With each practice session you will become more aware of your innerself, and the thoughts coming into your mind may start to lessen as you continue to calm your mind. Don’t try to label every though with a different label though; simply label it as a ‘Thought, or ‘Thinking’ and comeback to your breath and rest in the non-reactive, soft hearted and open minded mode within yourself, remembering this is quality time for you and your body, so relax and enjoy.

Here are two body scan videos which may help you go through the guided body scan mindfulness meditations

Reach Out, We All Need To Do It Sometimes.

Published 16/04/2014 by inspiringyourspirit

reach out

As a follow on to my last post I saw this image and thought it was a very fitting follow on. Reach Out, we all need to do it sometimes!

In some countries and cultures, reaching out is very normal and the done thing, to reach out to support groups, councillors, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, religious groups etc but in some cultures and countries it is seen as a sign of weakness and a loss of face to admit to others that you are experiencing a problem.

Look at the words on the arms of the two people in the image and consider reaching out to a friend, a loved one, a family member or a support group if you need help or if you have have time and skills to offer support to others yourself then please consider doing so 🙂

We all need help sometimes!

什么叫做“成熟”?什么叫做“完美”?
什么又叫做“生活”?
今天我们来聆听查理卓别林老师。这是一首在1959年他70岁生日时写下的一首诗。
What is “Maturity”? What is “Perfection”?
What is “Life”?
Today let’s listen Charlie Chaplin. This is a poem he wrote on his 70th birthday in 1959.

0-1

When I started
loving myself
当我开始爱自己

0-2

As I began to love myself
I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth.
Today, I know, this is
“AUTHENTICITY“.

当我真正开始爱自己,
我才认识到,所有的痛苦和情感的折磨,
都只是提醒我:我的生活违背了自己的本心。
今天我明白了,这叫做
『真实』。

0-3

As I began to love myself
I understood how much it can offend somebody as I try to force my desires on this person,
even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it,
and even though this person was me.
Today I call it
“RESPECT“.
当我真正开始爱自己,
我才懂得,把自己的愿望强加于人,
是多么的无礼,就算我知道,时机并不成熟,
那人也还没有做好准备,
就算那个人就是我自己,
今天我明白了,这叫做
『尊重』。

0-4

As I began to love myself
I stopped craving for a different life,
and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow.
Today I call it
“Maturity“.
当我开始爱自己,
我不再渴求不同的人生,
我知道任何发生在我身边的事情,
都是对我成长的邀请。
如今,我称之为
『成熟』。

0-5

As I began to love myself
I understood that at any circumstance,
I am in the right place at the right time,
and everything happens at the exactly right moment,
so I could be calm.
Today I call it
“SELF-CONFIDENCE“.
当我开始爱自己
我才明白我其实一直都在恰好的时机
恰好的地方、恰好的时间
我才明白发生的一切都恰到好处
从此我得以平静
今天我明白了,这叫做
『自信心』。

0-6

As I began to love myself
I quit steeling my own time,
and I stopped designing huge projects for the future.
Today, I only do what brings me
joy and happiness,
things I love to do and that
make my heart cheer,
and I do them in my own way
and in my own rhythm.
Today I call it
“HONESTY“.

0-7

As I began to love myself
I freed myself of anything
that is no good for my health –
food, people, things, situations,
and everything the drew me down and away from myself.
At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism.
Today I know it is
“LOVE OF ONESELF“.

charlie

As I began to love myself
I quit trying to always be right,
and ever since I was wrong less of the time.
Today I discovered that is
“MODESTY“.
当我开始真正爱自己,
我不再总想着要永远正确,不犯错误。
我今天明白了,这叫做
『谦逊』。

0-9

As I began to love myself
I refused to go on living in the past
and worry about thefuture.
Now, I only live for the moment,
where EVERYTHING is happening.
Today I live each day, day by day,
and I call it
“PERFECTION“.
我当开始真正爱自己,
我不再继续沉溺于过去,
也不再为明天而忧虑,
现在我只活在一切正在发生的当下,
今天,我活在此时此地,
如此日复一日。这就叫
『完美』。

0-10

As I began to love myself
I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick.
But as I connected it to my heart,
my mind became a valuable ally.
Today I call this connection
WISDOM OF THE HEART.
当我开始真正爱自己,
我明白,我的思虑让我变得贫乏和病态,
但当我唤起了心灵的力量,
理智就变成了一个重要的伙伴,
这种组合我称之为,
『心灵的智慧』。

We no longer need to fear arguments,
confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others.
Even stars collide,
and out of their crashing new worlds are born.
Today I know
That is LIFE!
我们无须再害怕自己和他人的分歧,矛盾和问题,
因为即使星星有时也会碰在一起,
形成新的世界,
今天我明白,这就是『生命』!

A Meditation to Transform Your Ego

Published 04/04/2014 by inspiringyourspirit

10170798_386773798131493_611650653_n

Meditation to Transform Ego:

Sit in Easy Pose, with a light Neck Lock. Keep your spine straight and your chest slightly lifted. With your elbows at the base of your ribs, raise your hands to sternum level. The palms face each other. Curl your fingers into a loose fist. Your thumbs point straight up.The top segment of your thumbs touch their inner edges. The rest of your hands stay separated. Bring your concentration to the breath. Create a steady breath rhythm with the following ratio and pathway: Inhale through the nose slowly for about 8 seconds. Hold in the breath for about 8 seconds. Release the breath through the nose in 8 equal strokes. Hold the breath out for 8 seconds. Once this pattern is set, you can gradually increase the time from 8 seconds to as long as you like. (to count 8 seconds or strokes you can say Sa-Ta-Na-Ma to yourself twice). If you increase the time, keep the time equal in each section of this technqiue.
Begin this practice gradually. Start with 3 minutes. Increase the time to 31 min. by adding 3-5 minutes per week of practice.

To End:

Inhale deeply, stretch your arms up over the head, and open and close your fists several times. Relax the breath and arms and meditate for one minute before resuming normal activity.

Comments:

Most people consider ego a perjorative term, but it indicates how we self-identify. Do we see ourselves as limited or unlimited? Creative or clunky? Powerful or pensive? Success in all arenas of life begins by defining ourselves not by how we think we’ve been, but by what we aspire to. This is the definition of positive ego. Project for the future through your actions and integrity. Let your presence be your calling card. Let your presence be proof of concept, consistent with what you can deliver. When our identity is Infinity we are unlimited. This Meditation features the number 8 which stands for Infinity (form and formless in an eternal dance). When we hold the breath in and out we are creating a neutral space for Infinity to flow into. Our fears and our fluctuations subside and we simply are that we are with no end and no beginning. In this Meditation the thumbs relate to the ego which is our fixed self. In some energetic models the thumbs also relate to ether which is our aspect not bound by biology or the laws of physics. Give yourself a thumbs up for permission to be new and be you! Turn ego into liberated Energy to help you GO for it.

A big thank you to my friend Charmaine Ananda for this post.

Trees…Who needs them! What have they ever done for us?

Published 01/04/2014 by inspiringyourspirit

2014_03_24

I was recalling a famous Monty Python sketch from ‘The Life of Brian’ When they were debating ‘What did the Romans ever do for us’! And then via tongue in cheek answers one of the actors (John Cleese I think) mentioned, ‘Well, they did bring us roads’!, and another said, ‘Well apart from roads, what did the Romans ever do for us’? and the reply was , ‘Well they did bring us sanitation’! and the reply was, ‘Well apart from roads and sanitation..what did the Romans ever do for us’? and the reply went on with ‘Well, they did bring us law and order’!…and on and on the sketch went, very funny in my opinion 🙂

…Of course the Romans did bring a lot to humanity, not all good I haste to add! but this brings me back to my point about trees.

Trees are the lungs of our earth and we are cutting them down at ever alarming rates, wiping out whole eco systems and many species of flora and fauna in the process. In fact, I wonder how many species have been wiped from the face of our earth that we did not even know existed!

The picture above says it all really, we place so much thought, investment and care for material things like computers and the internet but no real care or investment at all on making sure we have air to breathe!

Next time you exhausted maybe after a run or when you come up to the surface after swimming under water and you take a breath of life giving air….remember, our trees helped give you that breath, that fresh air that fills your lungs and allows your body to continue on its pathway.

I’m off to a CSR event today, to speak with like minded souls, to connect to people and organisations in need of help and to find ways to do good once more, to give back for the love, the happiness and the success I have achieved during my lifetime.

My Blessings, my love and my thoughts are with you all today, enjoy them with a smile 🙂

Who are you and how do you see yourself?

Published 18/03/2014 by inspiringyourspirit

mirror

Is it possible to see ‘Ourselves’ truly in a mirror?

Think about this. A person may look down and see only parts of the body, chest, arms, hands, torso, private parts, legs, and feet, but can a person ever really see themselves, their true self? When one looks into a mirror, a reflection is presented. It is a reflection of the light that hits the surface of the body, then the mirror and then our eyes. The image is reversed. It is not so easy to notice this, unless some writing is held up to the mirror and then it becomes obvious that the letters are backwards. So what are we really seeing when we look into a mirror?

When we engage with other people the same is true, our perception of what we say and do, how we act is to only see a reflection of ourselves, not necessarily our true nature and certainly not how others may see us. Others may react to our physical appearance, our personality, our spoken words, our aura or possibly a combination of these, but do they actually know us, the real essence of who we are, our true soul? Not likely, because in most cases we do not even know this ourselves. The reason is because it is ever changeable. Reality is fluid, in constant motion, and subject to interpretation. Any perception of reality is only a momentary snapshot of that instance taken by one’s particular conscious awareness from their point of view. It is fleeting, unreliable, and not necessarily true.

Our entire world, or at least our concept of it, is made up of these perceptual “snapshots” that are stitched together in a vast tapestry of our existence. We each make a model of reality and create conditioned fields within it, we also teach our children to see things the way we do. This is the source of separation within the whole, the way we define ourselves. We mentally make a circle to contain a group of thoughts, impressions and memories; then we artificially define this collection in our minds as a concept to give it some form of meaning. This is how we created nation states and made artificial boundary lines on the earth to separate one from the other; when the truth is that the entire earth is our home. We have created friends, families, dogma and religion out of this as well. The minute we define any part of our consciousness as separate from the whole, it gives it meaning, but it also creates a void between ourselves and others that are not included within our circle.

The key to a deeper understanding of reality is to question our concepts of reality. Consider this metaphor. If total perception is a field from floor to ceiling, then human perception is only a razor-thin slice of the total. This is very easy to prove, just look at the range of sounds that animals can hear that humans cannot. What’s more, sound is just one of the senses, some creatures use senses that people simply don’t have, many fish can sense electricity and birds and turtles are all thought to migrate using the Earth’s magnetic field.

monarch butterfly photo

Even more alien to our narrow field of perception: Consider the Monarch Butterfly. These large red-winged insects begin their lives in the forests of Mexico, then over three generations they fly north through America and into Canada with the 3rd generation making the flight all the way back to the same forests from where their grandparents were born, even though they themselves have never been there! Another example can be found in mating Pacific Salmon, these fish leave the oceans where they have lived their entire adult lives to swim back to land, they return to the very same place in the same exact river where they were born to lay their eggs for the next generation.

How these creatures make the journey and make it together as a species is completely unknown to us, yet they must sense something, something that guides them, something that we can’t sense.

We must embrace our limitations and recognize them.

It is also clear that the observer affects the perception. Scientific evidence has demonstrated that the observer’s effect on the outcome of that being observed is different for every person and its actual reality.

All those who know you, in a way are your reflections, meaning that if you do good, you will see only good in others. Similarly, if you think positively and project positivity to those you encounter in your life, you will not notice the negativity in others. Consider this, for those who have been through tough or difficult times in their lives, when the negativity in their world begins to enter their thoughts and control their minds then they probably remained in this same unpromising situation for a long period of time, it can be easy to spiral into depression in these circumstances and require help to get you out! Yet, when your thoughts begin to look brighter and you can feel positive about yourself and your future, that positivity multiplies and grows until it eventually replaces the negativity and you have, perhaps without noticing, turned your own situation around.

What have you done in the past to move away from the negative people who come into your life? Or do you just grin and bare it, put up with them in the hope that they will go away and leave you alone! Most people do in fact just put up with it and continue thinking of these negative people as friends, and every time they meet up with them they manage to bring their positivity down one more level, time after time they bring them down. The positive people and winners in our world spot negative people from a mile away and steer well clear of them and only surround themselves with positive creative and complementary people that will enhance their own positivity even further.

Inwardly your spiritual awareness and integrity determines who you really are, though outwardly this is noticed more by others than by ourselves. You can present a different face to other people than that of your true self, though this takes energy to do, what’s more you might be ham-stringing yourself by closing yourself off from the input of others as it’s an important part of building self-awareness to listen to how others see you and to use that input productively. It is only when you become aware, that your mind becomes conscious to experience and realize who and what you are and of course this will be noticed by others in small differences in how you move; hold yourself and even how you talk.

Having realized who you are and accepted your real self, your true nature, it is also very important to like yourself. There are many who really do not like themselves or are not happy with their present status. There are always comparisons, envy, demands, pressures and such trying to bring down your self-esteem; these external influences exert a negative pull on your inner self, on your positivity. Please do remember that you have a strong relationship with your external and inner personality, and the simple method is you need to spend time with yourself and love that solitude in order to enjoy your own company in solitude. It is only when you love your own self that you shall be able to love others.

Enjoy this Moment, This Moment is Your Life!

enjoy the moment

Enjoy this moment, this moment is your life!

Stop and enjoy!

Most of us go about our daily lives in the search of something, it could be searching for success, money, love, friends, or maybe even just searching for things, material things that we think will make us happy, out shopping, time at the mall buying for the sake of buying, keeping the shop owners happy but not ourselves! The purchase gives us the relief; the happiness for a split second in time but once the purchase has been made the thing in the fancy bag is just another thing, another possession to join the many others in our house, closed away in a closet or drawer, maybe not even to see the light of day again; but why?

Why don’t we just stop for a second and take a look around us, look now…Go on,…take a second out of your day and connect with your life…. First of all close your eyes and just breathe, can you feel the air enter your nose, how does it feel? Can you feel the air enter your throat, enter your lungs? How does it feel, is the air warm or cold? Feel the air expand your lungs, can you feel your chest rising, hold the breath at the end of the inhale for a second or two, how and what do you feel? Slowly exhale through your mouth, can you feel the air rushing from your lungs up through your throat and out of your mouth, past your lips, does the air feel warm or cold, is it wet or dry?

What can you smell? Allow your senses to work, keep your eyes closed and smell, can you smell your home, the fragrant air, maybe the smell of a child or pet, how about the smell of cooking or flowers in a vase, take your time and enjoy the sweet smells of your day.

What can you hear? keep your eyes closed and turn your focus inward to your ears, what can you hear, is it raining?, Can you hear raindrops on the windows, dripping from a gutter or maybe a drip from a leaky tap (Faucet), are you using aircon, can you hear the motor, the blades spinning, can you hear birds singing in your garden, children playing, is the radio or TV on what do you hear?

Can you feel and sense your body? Turn your focus inward to your body, can you feel your skin, what does it feel like, is it warm or cool, can you feel the blood circulating into your fingers and toes, do you feel the tingle in the tips of your fingers? Can you feel your heart pumping your life blood around your body,…. focus, focus, focus, feel it?

Now slowly open your eyes and look, really look, what do you see? Take note of the fine detail, the colour of your child’s eyes, the mixture of colours, the colour of their hair, the subtle differences of the shadows on their skin, your pet, what are they doing? Do you have flowers in your room, what are their colours, are they blooming or still in bud, do they need water? Take a look outside, what colour is the sky?, is it daytime or night time, can you see the sun or the moon or are there stars in the sky?

Our world, our life…take a second everyday to appreciate what’s around us, what we already have in our lives and be grateful because there are so many brothers and sisters out there in our world that have far less than we have!

To Live is To Love, Everything Else Is Just Details

Published 07/03/2014 by inspiringyourspirit

to live is to love

To Live is to Love, Everything else is just details.

Wow, Paul Coelho, ain’t that the truth 🙂

Love is a wonderful thing, most of us unfortunately think of love as your love for your partner, husband or wife, love for your child, a family member or friend, but love is far more than that, Love Is!

Love is everything, the way we open our eyes and see the beauty of the world around us, that’s love

The compassion we hold in our hearts for others, that’s love

The smile on our face when your puppy comes running to you wagging it’s tail, that’s love

The feeling we get inside when we see, really see the beauty of a landscape, that’s love

The slight choking feeling we get when someone makes us proud, that’s love

The hairs standing up on the back of your neck and the beating of your heart when you reach out to someone and give them a helping hand, that’s love.

Love is all around.

When Words are Both True and Kind, They Can Change The World

true and kind

Wise words from The Buddha

I intend for My Words to be both True and Kind, I always look to be compassionate and true in all my daily interactions, I know sometimes we can get frustrated and kindness can briefly flitter away from our mind and our intentions especially when someone is cruel or unkind to us, but if you practice kindness and give love and kindness in return to all then you will start to see the benefits and you will attract more loving kindness into your life.

How About You?
